4 Taken to Hospitals, 2 Hit by Gunfire in Annandale Altercation

Four people were taken to hospitals after a fight led to a shooting in Annandale, Virginia, early Tuesday evening, according to police. Two young women were shot in the incident.

Fairfax County Police said officers responded about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday to the 7500 block of Davian Drive for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they determined there was an altercation and gunshots were fired.

Two women, ages 19 and 20, were hit by gunfire; they were found a short distance away. Another woman was taken to the hospital for a medical condition, and a girl was transported for non-life-threatening injuries due to the fight. 

The two victims who were shot are in stable condition. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Everyone involved knew each other, police said. Police do not believe there is any danger to the community.
