A former elementary school administrator pleaded guilty today to a child pornography charge.
Joshua Myers, 29, of Warrenton, Va., was caught during an undercover operation. According to court documents, Myers was identified through an investigation of individuals using peer-to-peer file sharing software to view and trade child pornography. Through an online chat with an undercover agent, Myers provided information about files on his computer and discussed his sexual interest in minor boys, authorities said.
He was arrested at his home in June.
He pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum five years to a maximum 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 2.
Myers is a former assistant principal at Greenville Elementary School in Nokesville, Va.
