Foreclosure Help Center Opened in Greenbelt

Help for homeowners

Mortgage giant Fannie Mae has opened a center in Prince George's County to help homeowners who are facing foreclosure.

The company opened the Capital Area Mortgage Help Center in Greenbelt on Wednesday. It will provide free education and one-on-one counseling services to homeowners across the Washington region.

Services are offered to families with a mortgage owned by Fannie Mae, and are available in both English and Spanish.

Prince George's County has the highest number of foreclosures in Maryland and of the highest rates in the region.

The center is the 12th such center in the country.
