Baltimore's Follicle Debacle

Taxpayers had to pay for former Baltimore mayor's haircuts

Politicians can usually become popular through their tax cuts, not their haircuts -- especially when it's taxpayers footing the bill for their trims.

Baltimore’s former mayor may want to take note of that.

Sheila Dixon billed the city $260 for getting her hair done, according to the Baltimore Sun. She told the newspaper that she’d get her hair styled from time-to-time before taping segments for Baltimore’s public access cable channel. She also said that her former communications director approved of all the appointments.

Dixon stepped down as mayor earlier this year, after she pled guilty to perjury for lying about gifts she received. Do you think any of those gifts were a free haircut?
