WASHINGTON -- Crews have repaired a broken water main that damaged the road and flooded several homes in Adams Morgan, but the 1700 block of Florida Avenue NW might not be repaired and reopened until Saturday evening.
The road sustained extensive damage and is being reconstructed.
Crews filled a sinkhole Thursday. They still must reconstruct the surface from V Street to Champlain Street.
Damaged curbs and brick gutters must be replaced, and some sidewalk repairs are necessary. Weather permitting, the repairs should be complete by Saturday evening, according to the D.C. Department of Transportation.
