First Lady Michelle Obama Shooting For Jumping Jack World Record

First Lady leads effort to break jumping jacks record

If you can do jumping jacks for one minute, you can land a spot in the Guinness World Records.

First Lady Michelle Obama did jumping jacks on the South Lawn of the White House on Tuesday in an attempt to set the record for most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period.  She was joined by hundreds of school children.

She only needs 20,000 people to participate to set the record, and you can be among them. All you have to do is jump for one minute between now and 3 p.m. Wednesday to be counted.

National Geographic Kids is a partner on the event.  For more details and rules for groups that would like to participate, check their website here.
