First Dog May Join Obamas Tuesday

Presidential pooch rumored to be Texan

Tuesday could be the day the first dog makes his grand entrance at the White House.

The presidential pooch is rumored to be a Portuguese water dog from the same lineage as dogs bred at a Texas kennel for the Kennedy clan, according to TMZ.com.

The Web site reports that the dog will be a 6-month-old boy and black in color, and that the dog once had a home but was given back to the kennel by his previous owner.

Tuesday would make some sense for dog arrival days in terms of White House activities. Monday, of course, is the Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn.

We're sure the Obamas don't want the children rolling their eggs to find any surprises in the yard, if you know what we mean...
