Firefighter Injured in Arson Continues Recovery in Comfort of Home

LARGO, Md. -- A Prince George's County firefighter who was severely burned in an arson fire is recovering at home.

Daniel McGown left the Washington Hospital Center Tuesday afternoon and will continue his recovery at his home in Owings. He will visit the hospital's burn unit on an outpatient basis.

The 21-year-old suffered burns to his face and injuries to his respiratory tract on Wednesday while battling a fire in Kettering.

McGown's release allows him more rest and comfort in his recovery.
