Firefighter Hurt, Juvenile Escapes from House Fire

An Anne Arundel County firefighter was injured battling a house fire in Pasadena, but a juvenile who was home at the time escaped the fire unharmed.

Fire department spokesman Lt. Jack Ball told "The Capital" firefighters were called to the house on Hilltop Drive about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A juvenile who was home alone at the time escaped the blaze. More than 40 firefighters responded, and it took nearly two hours to get the fire under control.

The injured firefighter was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Ball said the fire caused about $150,000 in damage to the house.
