Fire At Pr. George's Car Dealership

Three-alarm blaze broke out in repair shop Sunday morning

Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze for nearly two hours Sunday at a car dealership in Marlow Heights.

Fire broke out at the Koons Pontiac Buick GMC dealership at 5001 Auth Way at around 11:30 a.m. Officials say that a mobile home or trailer caught fire in a warehouse on the dealership's property. Responding firefighters were greeted by heavy smoke and fire, which prompted the second and third alarms.

At one point, firefighters had to be evacuated from the building due to the dangerous sagging of the roof.

There is no word of any injuries or the extent of the property's damage. It is not believed that any other cars or the dealer's showroom was affected.
