Hundreds showed up in Rockville Sunday to help save a life. They attended a bone marrow drive at the Jewish Community Center.
Organizers are trying to find a match for 25-year-old Marc Gold of Olney.
Gold was recently diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.
His family hopes someone at Sunday's drive will be a match.
It will take eight weeks to determine whether a match was made at the drive, organizers said.
