Charles County Police officers are on the scene of an accident involving a pedestrian in the 2200 block of Crain Highway, in Waldorf Maryland.
The driver remained on the scene, between Mattawoman Beantown Road/Route 5 and Acton Lane. No word on the extent of the injuries of the pedestrian at this time.
Northbound Crain Highway/Rt 301 was briefly closed on Thursday morning. Police reopened the roadway around 6:45 a.m., but traffic continues to be affected.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
