Police in Montgomery County are asking for the public's help in identifying a man killed in a fiery car crash early Saturday morning.

The man was driving a 1986 Honda Accord on Georgia Avenue in Wheaton around 4 a.m.  For some reason, the driver lost control.  The car crossed two lanes, hit a utility pole, and burst into flames, according to investigators.

The car may have had temporary tags.  Police are not even sure what race the man was.  He was wearing Levi jeans, size 32-34 and a white striped jacket with fleece lining.   He was also wearing a ring on his left thumb of an unknown type of metal set with three stones.

If you have any information about the man, you are urged to call the department's non-emergency line at 301-279-8000.
