The southbound lanes of the Baltimore Washington Parkway have reopened following a fatal accident near Route 175.
U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Brooks says a southbound vehicle hit a man in the road around 5 a.m. Wednesday south of Route 175. Brooks says the driver of the vehicle that hit the man stayed on the scene.
The investigation kept the parkway closed for about five hours.
