Police say the driver of a vehicle that forced another car off the Baltimore-Washington Parkway fled the scene of the fatal crash.
Just before 3 a.m. Friday, the driver of a Lincoln struck a Mustang, forcing it off the road near Route 202 and causing it to roll over and catch fire.
The driver of the Mustang was trapped and died at the scene. Police have not released the victim's identity.
The other driver and any passengers abandoned the Lincoln and fled the scene before emergency crews arrived.
The northbound lanes of the BW Parkway were closed for nearly eight hours.
