Family, Friends Remember Slain Football Player

Family, friends and former classmates are remembering a 19-year-old football player murdered in Fairfax County.

Last night, dozens gathered for a vigil at Battlefield High School in Haymarket in memory of Zavier Stringfellow, who played football there.

He was a sophomore at Ferrum College in Virginia, where he also played football.

Police found Stringfellow stabbed to death in a van in Vienna Friday night. Police arrested 22-year-old Johnny Bonilla of Gainsville.

They said the two did not know each other but had arrayed a meeting. No word on a motive in the case.
