Family Establishes Two Memorial Funds for Yeardley Love

Relatives of slain University of Virginia lacrosse player Yeardley Love have established two memorial funds in her name.

Love was found dead in the bedroom of her Charlottesville apartment early Monday. Her ex-boyfriend, lacrosse player George Huguely, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Those interested in making contributions in Love's name can donate to the Yeardley Love Memorial Fund at her high school, Notre Dame Prep, or to the Yeardley Love Women's Lacrosse Scholarship Fund with the Virginia Athletic Foundation.

Love's family will receive friends at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore.

A Mass will be held in honor of Love on Virginia's campus Friday, according to the Catholic Student Ministry. The 11:30 a.m. Mass at the UVA Chapel will not be a funeral or the university's memorial service, but a chance for Catholics at Virginia to pray for Love.
