Falls Church and Stafford County will be getting help from the federal government in recovering from June 29's deadly derecho storm, adding them to the list of Virginia communities FEMA says is now eligible for federal disaster aid.
The money will help pay for damage and debris removal. It will also help cover the cost of emergency protective measures taken during the storm.
More than 50 counties and 18 cities are now eligible for assistance.
