The Fairfax County Search and Rescue team is helping with the search efforts at a school collapse in Haiti that has left more than 80 people dead.
Almost 40 members of Fairfax County's team arrived in Haiti Saturday morning to work 12-hour shifts to try to find more people alive. Four people were found alive Saturday. The Fairfax squad was not part of that effort.
The Fairfax team started working on a new section of the building Monday morning. It is still considered a rescue mission.
About 150 people were injured in the collapse of the three-story building. School was in session at the time of the collapse. Students and teachers were buried alive. Parts of the building were still under construction.
Police in Haiti have arrested the owner of the school. A police spokesman said the owner is being charged with involuntary manslaughter.
