Fairfax McDonald's Mobbed After High School Rivalry Game

Students arrested for underage drinking

A high school basketball game between two Fairfax County rivals led to a near melee.

A Langley High School took a picture of the mob scene Friday night at a McDonald's in McLean following a basketball game between rivals McLean High School and Langley High School.

At least a hundred students crowded into the fast food restaurant.

Police arrested 5 students from both schools for public drunkenness.

Lucy Caldwell, spokesperson for Fairfax County police, said the presence of alcohol in the incident sparked concern, especially as the prom season approaches.

Caldwell said that police are working with both schools to clamp down on underage drinking.
