Everyone wants to look their best as they head back to school, and thanks to some local firefighters students can get a new 'do just in time for class.
Off-duty firefighters will lend their time and talents to give area students a haircut. The event is sponsored by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department .
Children on free or reduced lunch plans are eligible to receive the haircuts.
Haircuts will be given from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the following dates:
- Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 - Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe Street. Alexandria, Va.
- Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2012 - Gum Springs Community Center, 8100 Fordson Road, Alexandria, Va.
- Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 - Reston Southgate Community Center and Southgate Community Center, 12125 Pinecrest Road, Reston, Va.
