FBI Still Searching for “Chameleon” Child Porn Suspect

Three years ago, a teacher at an exclusive private school in Washington disappeared after the school allegedly found child pornography in his possession.

Now the FBI is intensifying its effort to track down Eric Toth.

“I would say that this person can be equated with a chameleon,” FBI Speical Agent Ron Hosko said.

Toth is charged with producing child pornography and a child sex crime. Hosko, who’s leading the search for Toth, said the suspect could be looking for more victims.

“This person is a present threat to any youth in his contact,” Hosko said.

Toth taught the third grade at Beauvoir School on the grounds of the National Cathedral. In June 2008, child pornography was found on a school camera used by Toth. Authorities one of the child victims was a Beauvoir student.

When Toth went on the run, he changed his name and his look and faked his suicide in Minneapolis, authorities say.

The last known sighting of Toth was in 2009. Tips led the FBI to Phoenix, Ariz., but Toth fled before authorities got to him.

The FBI believes Toth could be trying to get a job as a tutor both for money and for new victims.
