Police Search for 12-Year-Old Jasmine Leighlin Baker, Md. Girl Last Seen Walking to School

Federal and local authorities are searching for a 12-year-old Baltimore County girl missing since Tuesday.

Baltimore County police say 12-year-old Jasmine Leighlin Baker of White Marsh was last seen leaving home at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to walk to school. She's a sixth-grader at Perry Hall Middle School.

When Jasmine didn't return home that day, her mother called the school only to be told her daughter had never arrived.

Police said Thursday that Jasmine has a history of communicating with men through email, texting and apps. They say they can't confirm she's had such communications in the last few weeks.

Jasmine's parents, Tina and Robert Baker, tell WBAL-TV that everything seemed normal when Jasmine left for school and they just want her home where she belongs, saying, "she's just a baby.''
