SALISBURY, Md. -- A man who worked as a substitute teacher in the Wicomico County schools has pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old female student.
Freddie Prince, 23, pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a minor and was sentenced Thursday to two years in jail and two-and-a-half years probation.
According to court documents, the girl reported the sexual relationship to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office in May. She told investigators she had sex with Prince at his home on two occasions.
Defense attorney Tom Pavlinic said Prince told the court he made an enormous mistake and was ashamed of his behavior.
