D.C. Police say that an elderly man has passed away from injuries suffered in an April car accident in Northwest.
Investigators say that 72-year-old Luther Head passed away Wednesday from injuries sustained in the April 25 crash, which occurred at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Woodley Road, Northwest.
Head was a passenger in a Toyota Sienna that was traveling southbound on Connecticut Avenue before it attempted a left turn on to Woodley Road, Northwest. While in the intersection, the Sienna was struck by a Nissan Sentra that was traveling northbound on Connecticut Avenue.
In addition to Head, both drivers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and were later released.
The investigation is ongoing.
