Eagles Linebacker Arrested in Virginia

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Akeem Jordan has been charged in Virginia with misdemeanor assault.

Jordan was arrested early Sunday in a parking lot in his native Harrisonburg.

General District Court records filed Monday show he was released on his own recognizance. The court records did not list an attorney for Jordan.

The Daily News-Record reported that police did not provide details on his arrest.

An Associated Press message left with the Harrisonburg police was not immediately returned.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pound Jordan played at James Madison University and was signed by the Eagles in 2007.
