Drivers Wait in Long Lines for Gas After Storms

Some waited more than three hours to gas up.

Drivers this weekend have not only had to contend with debris all over the roads from the violent storms, but some had to sit in long lines just to gas up their car.

At one station on Rockville Pike, drivers sat in line for more than three hours while waiting for a gas tanker to arrive.

One driver said there were lines all over the area, but seemed to somehow take it in stride.

He and other drivers bonded over the frustrating experience, calling themselves the “VIP’s” for being next in line.

Gas station managers say they aren’t sure why this storm caused the gas shortages.

They say stations didn’t see shortages during similar heavy storms in the area.
