Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Oxon Hill

A woman was killed after her car left the road and crashed early Friday, Prince George's County police said.

Emergency crews were called to the 6500 block of Bock Road in Oxon Hill just after 4 a.m. for a report of a crash. Bernido Lopez, 30, of Springfield, Va., was driving westbound when she appears to have lost control and gone down ditch, rolling over on to the roof.

Lopez was trapped inside the vehicle. A Maryland State Police helicopter was called to the scene to transport her to an area hospital, where she later died.

Police closed Bock Road between Livingston Road and St. Barnabas Road while they investigated.
