Dozens of Seized Dogs in Need of New Homes

51 dogs seized in suspected animal hoarding case

Animal control in Anne Arundel County, Md., has dozens of dogs in need of new homes.

Authorities got an anonymous call about possible animal hoarding inside a home in Pasadena.

Officers responded Monday and found 51 dogs inside the home.

Workers have examined the dogs and are getting them up-to-date on vaccinations. The breeds included poodles, Yorkshire terriers and mixes.

On Tuesday, more than 50 people showed up to adopt the dogs. The dogs will be available for adoption through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

So far, no charges have been filed agains the original owners.  Authorities expect to file charges soon.
