Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

Early Saturday morning shooting in Barry Farm

Police in D.C. are investigating a double shooting in Southeast that left one man dead and another injured.

Authorities say the shooting took place at the intersection of Firth Sterling Avenue and Stevens Road in the Barry Farm neighborhood at around 5:40 a.m. Investigators say that the suspects fled in a blue Mercury with Maryland license tags, but do not have any further information.

One of the two men shot was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police have not released any identifying information about either victim.
