Energy provider Dominion will now link veterans with future jobs in the energy industry.
It’s called “Troops to Energy Jobs.” The program is a two-year pilot with four other utility companies in the United States. It’s designed to establish an ongoing process of outreach, recruiting, education and training to create a pathway for military personnel to transition from the service into civilian careers in the energy field.
Dominion said there's a natural fit between the military and the energy industry.
One survey estimated that almost 100,000 openings would occur in the energy industry by 2015.
