Developers Propose Parking Lot on Prime Downtown Real Estate

Tenant won't be ready for building until 2013

WASHINGTON -- Developers have proposed putting a parking lot at one of D.C.'s busiest and priciest intersections.

Developers in control of the lot on the corner of Connecticut Avenue and K Street in Northwest wants to put a building project on hold and instead put in the parking lot because the tenant won't ready to move into the building until 2013.

Some city officials are concerned about how it would look for the District and are asking for a more creative solution.
