Alleged Shooting by Prince George's Deputies Investigated

Fight outside club leaves one man shot, Prince George's County deputy injured

Prince George's County Police are investigating after two off-duty Prince George's County Sheriff's deputies fired their weapons and allegedly shot someone Wednesday night outside Club Elite in the Rosecroft Shopping Mall in Temple Hills, Md.

A fight apparently broke out, and when the uniformed deputies tried to stop it the suspects turned on the officers, according to police. The group of suspects hit one of the deputies with their car, police said, and that's when the two deputies fired at the suspects, striking one.

Three male suspects were taken into custody. The deputies will be placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. No one was seriously injured.

A sheriff's office spokesman said the two deputies regularly work security at the club.
