Demonstrators Protest Gaza Violence At Israeli Embassy

WASHINGTON -- Groups gathered outside the Israeli Embassy Friday said that they're tired of the bloodshed in Gaza.

Hundreds of demonstrators rallied in an effort to stop the conflict in Gaza. So far, the six-day conflict has killed more than 400 people.

"We're here to say the violence must stop," said protest organizer Mahdi Bray. "And we're here to say that there must be a ceasefire, a truce, and that basically the sanctity of life is important."

Israeli leaders said the battle will continue until they can cripple Hamas and the rocket attacks launched for the past seven years.

Embassy spokesman Jonathan Peled said Hamas is targeting Israeli citizens while Israel is targeting terrorist installations.

The protesters left the Israeli Embassy and headed to the Egyptian Embassy.

More protests are planned.
