Daredevil Takes Flying Leap at Gaylord Hotel

Stunt promotes homemade flying machine competition

The daredevil with the most BASE jumps in the world added a local leap to his list Thursday.

Skydiver Miles Daisher made a rare indoor jump at the Gaylord National Hotel at National Harbor.

Daisher took a flying leap in the 19-story atrium. After a quick dip through the fountain he landed safely on the ground floor.

Today's event was designed to encourage aspiring aviators to get involved in this year's homemade flying machine competition.

That will take place at National Harbor this fall.
