DCPS Athletic Director on Leave Over Money Management Questions: Sources

D.C. Public Schools placed a top administrator on leave following questions about her management of money, two school sources told News4.

Athletic Director Stephanie Evans has been on paid administrative leave since October.

No money was taken and money is missing but protocol may have been violated.

Evans has been on the job since 2011 and earns about $106,000 per year.

The school district declined to comment on the case, saying it's a "personnel matter," but a school spokeswoman said DCPS has a new interim athletic director: Reginald Ballard.

Evans didn't respond to emails requesting comment.
