The body of a woman was discovered along the side of Indian Head Highway on Monday morning.
Prince George's County authorities said the body was spotted about 8 a.m. by a motorist near the intersection of Swan Creek Road East in Fort Washington, Md.
The woman apparently was walking southbound on the shoulder of Indian Head Highway when she was struck. She is described as a black woman about 50 years old standing 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. She has not been identified.
