A 14-year-old DC boy was killed over the weekend in a bizarre scooter accident.
It happened Saturday night in the 2200 block of Hunter Place, SE.
Police say Kaywone Willis and a friend were driving on the scooter when they hit a speed bump.
They lost control of the scooter and crashed into a car.
The two boys were taken to the hospital, where Willis died from his injuries.
The other scooter rider suffered minor injuries from the accident.
