Student Plinks Classmate With BB-Gun

A classroom at Brooke Point High School in Stafford County briefly became a shooting gallery on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old has been hit with an array of weapons-related juvenile petitions after bringing his bb-gun into school.

A witness told police that the student was flashing his air pistol in class when it accidentally discharged.  The shot hit another student in the shoulder.  That student was taken to a nurse for treatment with non-life threatening injuries, and then was told to go back to class.

The 17-year-old shooter had his gun taken away, and was taken to the Rappahannock Regional Juvenile Detention Center.  A school resource officer assisted in apprehending the teen.
