D.C. Schools Considering How to Make Up Snow Days

District of Columbia public school officials are weighing their options about how to make up the three snow days they've used this school year.

The city only builds one snow day into the calendar. Schools spokeswoman Melissa Salmanowitz says Friday, June 20, and Monday, June 23, are designated as make-up days. She says the school system could use those days or possibly find a way to make them up earlier in the school year.

Many suburban school districts have had more days off than the district and build more days into the calendar.
