D.C. Police: Sweep of Arrests in Fifth District Burglaries

D.C. Police announced a sweep of arrests relating to several recent burglaries in the city's Fifth District.

Jonathan Robinson of Southeast D.C. was arrested Wednesday and faces five counts of first degree burglary charges in the following incidents:

  • Sunday, June 2, 2013, 100 block of Adams Street NW, Washington DC, at approximately 2:15 a.m.
  • Sunday, July 21, 2013, 2200 block of 1st Street NW, Washington DC, at approximately 5:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 31, 2013, Unit block of Adams Street NW, Washington DC, at approximately 4:45 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 31, 2013, Unit block of T Street NW, Washington, DC, at approximately 6:10 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 31, 2013, 100 block of Adams Street NW, Washington, DC, at approximately 6:43 a.m.

Police say Robinson entered homes while residents were asleep and stole valuables.

Donte Polk, 24, of Northeast was also arrested Wednesday on first degree burglary charges in the following incidents:

  • Sunday, June 16, 2013, 1400 block of Morse Street NE, Washington, DC, at approximately 9:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday, July 23, 2013, 1100 block of Morse Street NE, Washington, DC, at approximately 8:15 a.m.

Thursday, 20-year-old Steven Warren of Northwest was arrested on burglary charges while in the process of breaking into a home in the 1200 block of Montello Avenue NE.
