D.C. Police Officer Pleads Guilty to Burglary Charge

A District of Columbia police officer has pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree burglary and is resigning from the department.

Jennifer Green admitted in D.C. Superior Court on Tuesday that she used her police radio to act as a lookout during a burglary of an apartment in March. Prosecutors said she plotted with a cooperating witness to steal money and drugs from the apartment in northwest Washington, and that she then split the cash. Green was off-duty at the time.

Green, 28, faces up to five years in prison when she is sentenced on July 6.
