D.C. Police Investigate 3 Overnight Shootings

No fatalities reported; suspects sought in 2 of 3 shootings

D.C. Police have confirmed three separate shootings that took place early Saturday morning in three different sections of the District.

The first shooting took place in the 1200 block of Stevens Road SE at around 1:30 a.m. Investigators say a man was shot in the side and back, but was also conscious and breathing. No description of any suspects has been reported.

The second shooting happened at around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of North Capitol and S Streets NE. Police say a person was shot in the head and was unconscious and non-responsive. The victim's age and gender were not specified. DC Police tweeted out a lookout for one or two men around age 20 in a silver PT Cruiser.

The third shooting occurred at around 3:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of Ontario Road NW, where police say a man was shot in the back. Investigators say the man was conscious and breathing. Police are on the lookout for three men in their early 20s, all standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. One of the men sought was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and carrying a gun. One of the two other men was last seen wearing a white T-shirt.
