D.C. Officers Shoot 2 Pit Bulls in Southeast

D.C. Police officers shot two pit bulls -- one of whom died -- after they were reportedly attacking citizens Thursday afternoon near Eastern Market.

Crews responded to the 800 block of C Street SE just before 3 p.m. One of the dogs died from his injuries and another was seized by Animal Control Officers. Police say the owner of the dogs has been identified, and will be cited.

None of the victims of the dog attacks were seriously injured.
