Repairs to the Anacostia Freeway Bridge over the Anacostia Park entrance began at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
D.C. Fire and EMS reports heavy traffic issues at Route 295 northbound at Pennsylvania Avenue due to a hole in the roadway on a bridge over Firth Sterling Avenue.
Northbound traffic was diverted onto eastbound Pennsylvania Avenue. As of 9:15 a.m., the right lane was opened, but two other lanes remained closed.
Repairs are scheduled to be completed Friday.
