Metro Says Expect Delays Saturday

Metro riders should expect delays of up to 20 minutes on the red, orange and blue lines because of track work, but the delays won't last all weekend.

Metro has planned work on Saturday, but is skipping maintenance on Sunday and Monday due to the Fourth of July holiday.

On Saturday from 7 a.m. to midnight trains will share one track on the red line between the Rhode Island Avenue and Fort Totten stations. On the orange and blue lines, trains will share one track on Saturday between Eastern Market and Stadium Armory.

Customers traveling on the affected lines should add 20 minutes to their travel times.
