A three-year-old died in a swimming pool on Saturday in Charles County, Maryland.
Police said the accident happened in Pomfret, north of La Plata, at a child's birthday party.
Dyrrian McClain Sheff was swimming in an in-ground pool with relatives. When some of the swimmers exited the pool, according to investigators, they saw Sheff at the bottom in the deep end.
A registered nurse at the party attempted to resuscitate the child, unsuccessfully.
The Charles County Sheriff's Office said there is no foul play suspected, and the drowning is being investigated as accidental.
