One of Muriel Bowser's first appearances as mayor of Washington will be an interview on "Meet the Press.''
A spokeswoman for Bowser said Friday that the mayor will appear on Sunday's edition of NBC's venerable talk show, now hosted by Chuck Todd.

Also scheduled to appear are the District of Columbia's schools chancellor, Kaya Henderson, and Police Chief Cathy Lanier. The show airs at 10:30 a.m. EST in the District.

Bowser was sworn in on Friday. The 42-year-old Democrat replaced Vincent Gray, whom she defeated in last year's primary.
