Man With 10 Winning Lotto Tickets Giving Some Away

The man who struck it rich on Virginia lottery tickets - again, and again, ten times over, is spreading the wealth.

Colin Mackenzie played the same 5 winning numbers ten times in the Cash 5 game in April. Now holding two fistfuls of tickets worth $100,000 a piece, he has given a few away.

Two of the winning tickets purchased by Mackenzie were cashed in by Daniel Wheeler of Fredericksburg and Regina Ruckman of Waldorf.

Mackenzie, who lives in Dumfries, beat some long odds to win the jackpot in the Cash 5 game - odds of getting all the right numbers are 278,256:1.

He played 6, 7, 13, 25, and 28, numbers he told Virginia Lottery officials he has been playing for a long time now.

"This is going to help a lot of things," Mackenzie said after he won.
