Man Wins $1 Million Playing Same Numbers Ten Times

Picked the right numbers in Cash 5 game

A Woodbridge man played the right numbers on Monday, again and again and again.

The jackpot prize for picking the correct five numbers in the Virginia Cash 5 game is $100,000.  A car salesman who works at the Lustine Chrysler Jeep Dodge bought ten tickets with the right numbers, Insidenova reported, netting a total of $1 million dollars.

The odds of picking 5 out of 5 winning numbers in the game just once are 278,256:1.

The clerk at the store where the man purchased the tickets said when he saw the lottery results, he ran over to where the winner worked to deliver the news.

Shawn Shah, manager at Discount Tobacco and Things, told Insidenova, "It's amazing.  It's lucky for him.  He's a lucky man."

Shah said that the man, who was not identified, frequently played the lottery at the convenience shop.

Coworkers at the dealership where the winner worked said he disappeared after hearing the news.

"He's a really good guy, he's been down on his luck for ten years or so."" Mike Engle, who also works at the dealership, said about the lottery winner.  "I'm happy for him."

The winning numbers were: 11-13-18-22-28.
